Ask the feed directly
The skills are not the only way to use your subscription. In any Claude Code session where the SEOMANTIK feed is connected, you can ask questions in plain words, about your own site, another site, a keyword or a market, and Claude answers with live search data from the feed.
Use it for the questions a plan does not answer, to check something quickly between monthly passes, or to dig into one detail of your plan.
What you can ask about
Your plan subscription includes these kinds of data:
- Keywords: ideas and related searches around a term, monthly search volume, how hard a term is to rank for, and what searchers want (information, a purchase, a place).
- A site's rankings: the keywords any domain ranks for, where, and an overview of its visibility.
- Google results: the live results page for a search in a given country and language, including Google's AI Overview when one shows.
- Pages: the content of a specific page, its headings and text, read as Google would.
- AI answers: what ChatGPT answers to a question, and which sites and brands AI answers mention for a subject.
- Domains: when a domain was registered, and a summary of the links pointing to it.
- Local businesses: business listings for a place and a category.
Examples
Each of these works as typed. Name the country and language when the market matters.

How it counts
- You need at least one site open on your subscription. A site opens the first time a skill runs on it. After that, your questions can be about any domain; asking about another site never opens a new one.
- Questions use your data allowance, not your briefs or sites. Your dashboard and the first line of every skill run show data used this period as a percentage.
- Asking the same thing twice within a few minutes uses nothing: the answer comes from memory.
- Big pulls use more. A thousand keywords is a bigger request than ten. Ask for what you need, and ask Claude to tell you how many requests it plans before it starts a long series.
Normal questions stay well inside your allowance. If you ever reach the limit, the feed says so, with the date it resets.
Tips
- Be specific: name the domain, the search, the country and the language.
- Ask for tables or files instead of long lists in the chat.
- Build on your plan: "For the questions in wave 2 of my plan, show me who holds the AI Overview today" works in the project folder, because Claude can read your plan's files.
- Check before you act: a ranking or an AI answer can change from one week to the next. Treat an answer as a reading taken today.
When to use a skill instead
- You want a plan, not an answer: which pages to build and in what order. Use seomantik-topic.
- You want the page written, with its sources checked. Use seomantik-content.
- You want to track change month after month. Use the monthly progress pass in seomantik-topic.
The skills run the same data through a tested method, save every step and resume where they stopped. A direct question is quick, but it is only as careful as the question.
What it is not
- No ranking or traffic promises. It reports what the data shows today.
- Counts are what the data returned. Where a source caps its results, a number means at least that many.
- AI answers move. What ChatGPT or an AI Overview says today can differ tomorrow.
